Landscapes and Tales

The “Landscapes and Tales” course is conceived as a voyage of discovery and aims to lead to the creation of a tale of images and words through the use of different techniques (monotypes, India ink on canvas, water painting, oil painting).
“Like ancient travellers, our brush will draw seas, deserts, animals, monsters, cities, forests, mirrors. Our journey will lead us to encounter fables and landscapes, creatures that inhabit literature and our experience”.
The course involves exercising the creative process, making experimentation and intuition follow order and analysis and thus identifying the union between expression and meaning.
Characters and settings, lines, textures, composition, colour will be studied, the fundamental concepts of visual language such as abstraction and figuration, symbol and syntax will be addressed, geography, botany, imaginary zoology will be encountered. A walk between reality and fantasy.
