Projects

The Štěpán Zavřel Foundation is involved in European and national projects to promote art and culture as tools for territorial regeneration. Currently, with the Revival project (PNRR), the Foundation is contributing to transforming the villages of Borgo Val, Montaner, and Rugolo into centers of creative excellence.

In the past, with Stream (Interreg), it enhanced the mountain villages of Ranè and Martin, combining art with sustainable tourism. Through Dart4City (Erasmus+), it supported the integration of art into European school curricula, blending it with science and technology.

These initiatives highlight the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to promoting art as a universal language and a driver of cultural development.

Revival

The Štěpán Zavřel Foundation is part of the REVIVAL – Regenerate, Excite, Live, and Innovate in Val project, funded by the PNRR, in collaboration with the Municipality of Sarmede. The project aims to transform the villages of Borgo Val, Montaner, and Rugolo into centers of excellence for culture and creativity. Through its expertise, the Foundation contributes to promoting the art of illustration and enhancing the local area.

Stream

The European project STREAM (Supporting Sustainable Tourism, Urban Regeneration, and the Promotion of the Arts in Mountain Areas), co-financed by the Interreg V-A Italy-Austria 2014-2020 program, aims to enhance small mountain villages through art and culture, increasing their tourist appeal. The Municipality of Sarmede, the project leader, involved the districts of Ranè, Martin, and Val, which were enriched by the presence of young illustrators from the International School of Illustration.

Dart4City

The Štěpán Zavřel Foundation participated as a partner in the European project DART4City – Enhancing Arts and Creativity for the Cities of Tomorrow, funded by the Erasmus+ 2014-2020 program. This project aimed to develop a methodology for integrating arts and creativity into European school curricula through the STEAM approach, combining science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

The Foundation contributed with educational projects such as “Making the Invisible Visible” and “AI for Creative People”, created by Gabriel Pacheco and Anna Mancuso, and tested in Italian schools. The results were shared at international events and made available in a free guide for teachers.
