The aim of the course is to provide some tools to the participants in order for them to be able to cross in autonomy and without anxieties the road of self-training and self-narration linked to artistic, illustrative and authorial doing, with a particular attention to the world of book industry, to art teaching and to art therapy.
Program
The course is open to everybody, includig those who approach the world of illustration for the first time. During this course the students will experiment with numerous techniques and will be put face to face with different themes concerning the use of materials, the chromatic choices, the frame of the image, the birth of themes, the presence or absence of colour, the silent communication of the illustration, the direction of light. The intent of the course will be also to make experimentation easier, so that students will be able to undertake this wonderful trip without performance anxieties. All the themes will be approached with a particular attention to the publishing world, to art teaching, art therapy and in general to self-training.
The days will develop along common threads surfacing from the participants’personal stories and expectations. They will be enriched by video projections, images, books, ex-tempore exercises.
Every participant will be followed individually by the teacher.
Recipients: Students, professional illustrators or absolute beginners, teachers, and more in general, individuals who feel curious or nostalgic about making art.
Typologies and final verifications: the fundamental tool for whomever practices art and illustration is self-evaluation. In fact, part of these intensive days will be dedicated to this important factor, so that it will become simple for oneself and others to understand the path followed so far, and above all, the ones still to be discovered.
