The course is aimed at those who practice digital drawing, know the basics of Adobe Photoshop and intend to explore its potential in search of new expressive developments. We will work on painting techniques and on the creation and customization of brushes, we will see how the richness of traditional techniques can become an active and creative part of our digital work. We will do a series of studies on textures and will be useful in this phase to have found material samples such as textures, fabrics and particular papers. Those who want to work on digital collage can bring the materials they usually use, there will be a scanner available.
For this first phase of study we ask you to bring fairly simple pencil drawings, such as character studies. Subsequently we will realize the definitive illustrations of an hypothetical illustrated book, if you have a project that you deem suitable – a book with some tables already set in pencil it is fine, alternatively you could bring tables in pencil from different projects.
