A mi-ma-monster is dancing
in ou-ou-our house,
a monster is dancing
right here in our house.
He struggles,
then shakes,
and is screwed like a spring,
the mi-ma-monster is dancing
right here in our house.

Real monsters are frightening, terrible, ghostly, cruel, horrible but above all monstrous.
For a child it can be a source of fear and trouble to face a monster that is not suitable for her/his age. During the course students will have the opportunity to create their own adorable monsters. A monster too shy to scare others, a monster too small to be seen, a monster too sweet and desperate to become a real monster.
Then everyone, off to monster school! In order to learn how to become a real monster!
In five sequences the students will be able to create, tell and illustrate a small story of their personal monster.
The students of the advanced course will work on the composition of the theme for the 37th edition of Le immagini della fantasia, the monsters. The students’illustrations will then be the object of a selection for Le immagini della fantasia, in Sarmede, in the section dedicated to the School (from October 2019 to February 2020), which will then tour other locations in Italy and abroad.
This avanced course is subject to a selection process: when enrolling, participants must send 5 of their illustrations (low resolution) or a link with their works to corsi@fondazionezavrel.it
Those taking part in the selection process will be notified by e-mail about the results within five working days.
The illustrations can be made with mixed techniques: tempera, collage, colored pencils, ink and monotype.
