Illustrating the animal world

Joanna Concejo offers a training course dedicated to animals that will find their place in creation through the format of an alphabet book.

“We will create an illustration in which we will try to tell the story of an animal, exploring both its formal appearance and its unique character. Everyone will be free to set the tone of their image according to their own inspiration. It may be based on reality and follow an encyclopedic approach, but it can also move toward the fantastic, the poetic, or the dreamlike.

Since the animals will be placed within the formal context of an alphabet book, there will be room to break conventions.

To our pencils, then! A is for… B is for…”

Each participant must bring the materials required for the technique they intend to use.
It is also possible to bring images of animals of your choice.
The teacher will provide images of various types of animals, as well as other photographic materials that can be used during the course.
