Casa della Fantasia
The Casa della Fantasia, headquarters of the Štěpán Zavřel Foundation, is a multifunctional center for illustration and books. A place for cultural events, it combines art, literature, and creativity.
The Casa della Fantasia has been the headquarters of the Štěpán Zavřel Foundation since 2012, the year it was inaugurated. Located in the heart of the village, next to the Town Hall, it was designed as a multifunctional center dedicated to illustration and books. The rooms are designed to host exhibitions, workshops, courses, meetings, and conferences for audiences of all ages, offering experiences of dialogue and creativity
A multifunctional center for illustration and books
Every year, the Casa della Fantasia hosts the new edition of the International Children’s Illustration Exhibition “Le Immagini della Fantasia” from November to February; from March to September, the exhibition “Il Sole ritrovato. Illustration of the second half of the 20th century in Sarmede”; followed by activities for schools of all levels and courses from the International School of Illustration.
Casa della Fantasia can host external cultural events and has already been the venue for significant collaborations, such as with the Pordenonelegge festival and with the Andrea Zanzotto Foundation for the centennial celebrations.
