Elisa Talentino

Elisa Talentino (Ivrea, 1981) is an artist working with illustration, graphic art, painting, and animation.
Her illustrations have appeared in magazines, newspapers, and books, including The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Hachette, Yale University Press, Goethe Institut, La Repubblica, Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore, Mondadori, Einaudi, Rizzoli, Bompiani, Il Saggiatore, and many others.
Her work has been selected in various industry competitions, including the New York-based Society of Illustrators, and she won the Gold Medal in the 3×3 Mag Professional Show Illustration Competition for two consecutive years (2017/2018).
She created a course on experimental painting and printmaking techniques for the international digital platform Domestika.
In 2020, she published the illustrated book Quando il mondo era tutto azzurro (When the World Was All Blue) with Sara Gamberini, published by Topipittori.
She illustrated the complete works of Dacia Maraini for Corriere della Sera – Bur – Rizzoli.
She created the animated short film Dandelion, which was selected for major international festivals and inspired the eponymous book published by Lazy Dog Press.
Other of her publications include Le jardin d’hiver (Print About Me, 2013), Bendata di stelle (Inuit Editions, 2014), Metamorphosis (La Grande Illusion, 2016), and Il tramonto birmano (Add Editore, 2016).
She specializes in printmaking: using the technique of screen printing, she creates her own prints with experimental painting and printmaking techniques.
A selection of her works is part of the Permanent Collection of the Farnesina in Rome, the Contemporary Art Collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
She lives and works in Turin.
