From 6 November 2025 to 8 February 2026, Palazzo Frisacco in Tolmezzo will host the 42nd edition of the International Exhibition of Illustration for Children Le Immagini della Fantasia.
The exhibition is divided into three sections: Theme – Play, Panorama – Image Games, Pedagogy – Play and Knowledge. The Guest of Honour section is dedicated to the Iranian illustrator Narges Mohammadi, who presents 52 works. Two illustrations by Štěpán Zavřel, the creator of the exhibition and the International School of Illustration in Sarmede in the 1980s, are also on display. Guided tours for schools and adults, workshops, and themed events will allow visitors to explore the world of illustration in depth and immerse themselves in the realm of imagination.
