The workshop will open with a short introduction featuring curious and unusual examples of typefaces, offering inspiration and ideas for the activities that follow.
During the workshop, these ideas will take shape through two different experiments. On one hand, participants will create letters and numbers by arranging natural elements, observing the shapes of stones, twigs, and other materials to discover their expressive potential. On the other hand, the focus will shift to the thickness of the letters: curves, edges, and corners will become paths to explore and decorate, transforming the way typographic forms are perceived.
Following the outlines and surfaces of the letters, each participant will choose patterns, marks, and decorations capable of highlighting their curves, recesses, and volumes — discovering a whole new way of looking at and interpreting typography.
