
Jesús Cisneros
He was born in Zaragoza (Spain) in 1969. He studied illustration at the Escuela de Artes in Zaragoza and Art History at the University of the same city. He has collaborated with publishers such as Caja de Cerillos, Fondo de Cultura Económica, Libros del Zorro Rojo, Castillo, SM, Anaya, Edelvives, OQO, Kite Editions, Alfaguara, among others. He has received several awards, including the Lazarillo de Ilustración in 2007 for the album Ramón, and the Special Award I Colori del Sacro in 2012. In 2015 he was awarded a special mention at the Lisbon biennial, Ilustrarte, and in 2016 a special mention at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival. He currently resides in Mexico, where he teaches Illustration at the Centro University, Drawing, Film and Television at the CASA Training Centre, and Narrative Illustration at the Faculty of Art and Design of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
