Journey into Childhood: Children Between Nature, Symbols, and the Fantastic

Journey into Childhood: Children Between Nature, Symbols, and the Fantastic
Drawing and Watercolor Course

The course revolves around the child figure—so precious, strong and fragile at the same time, so fascinating because it embodies all human qualities: emotions, inner life, dreams, and movement. In this course, we will explore character study and watercolor execution through figures of girls and boys, without limits of time or tradition. Inspiration will be drawn from myths, legends, and poetry; suggestions will be built using archival photographs, art, illustrations, and personal photos.

The program includes pencil studies of characters and composition, the study of iconographic references, readings to develop personal imagery, and the creation of one or more watercolor illustrations.

This course provides the opportunity to develop observational skills and the expression of emotions, learn expressive graphite and watercolor techniques, and identify themes and methods for cross-disciplinary activities related to the theme of emotions.
