Workshop open to all students who are interested to the image and who wish to approach a specific technique and the contemporary theories of illustration in a deeper way.
Objectives
To get to know the basic tools to realize an illustration, the specific techniques, the basic ideas of semiotics, the creative base of tone,formal structure as composition, equilibrium, narrative lines, metaphors and visual words.
10 photos or prints of any type or measure;
acrylic: basic colours, red, yellow, blue, black, white (tubes from 120 ml);
brushes for acrylic (at the student’s choice 12, 24 and 36 mm);
round brushes for acrylic (at the student’s choice, 24 and 36 mm);
pasting brush of 12 cm;
coloured pencils;
pencils, 4B and H;
tissue paper;
acrylic plaster;
sandpaper, thin and thick;
opaque medium for acrylic painting;
grey thin cardboard (bristol) 70×100 cm by 4,0 mm (a 50×70 cm would also work);
paper 120 gr (for painting);
scotch tape;
paper bond A4;
scissors, cutter and other usual work tools.
